Patient and Family Advisory Council

Have an idea that could make our hospital better? We want to hear it?

We're looking for patients and family members to join the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and help shape care, safety, and the patient experience at UConn Health Waterbury Hospital. What you noticed during your visit could help improve care for you, your family, and your community.

A group of patients, family members, and hospital staff who go through a 4-month cohort together, working side by side to improve care for everyone we serve.

What does the Council do?
- Shares patient and family concerns directly with hospital leadership
- Helps shape policies, programs, and/or communication that affect your care
- Improves patient safety, satisfaction, and the overall care experience
- Strengthens the relationship between the hospital and the community it serves
- Share your story and your ideas
- Help us communicate better with patients
- Work directly with hospital staff and leadership
- See your ideas turned into real changes
- Patients or family members who've received care at Waterbury Hospital
- Anyone who wants to help improve healthcare for others
- People willing to share honest feedback
- People who can commit to the full 4-month cohort
